What was life like before you joined Excel University?
My name is Rebecca Safko, and I am a workforce director for four Appalachian counties in Ohio but I'm based out of Pittsburgh. I am a CPA, but I am kind of an old one - back when I attended college we still used Lotus!
Everything that I have learned about Excel was on my own. I have been working with Excel for 25 years or so, but it has always been a struggle to hunt for information.
With Excel University, Jeff takes you through all of the options, and it is amazing to discover everything that you don't know!
What has changed since you joined Excel University?
Excel University has helped me to be more productive at work. People have seen that increased productivity and been impressed that I am still making an effort to learn Excel.
I am not quite an expert yet, but I am able to help people when they come to me with a specific question. With Excel university I have more than a way to find the solution, I have a comprehensive pathway!
What makes Excel University better than searching Google or YouTube?
With Excel University, you work your way through logically. You are not missing things like you would when searching for a specific topic. There is a very comprehensive pathway.
What is your favorite time saving technique?
Jeff is really big on pushing the shortcut keys and learning new tricks. It takes me a while to memorize things, but all the little shortcuts and keystrokes are amazing.
The organizational structure for building better workbooks has also saved a lot of time in my daily activities.
Would you recommend Excel University?
I would recommend Excel University to anybody. As long as you have a basic understanding of Excel, it doesn't matter, because there is a progression in Excel University from beginner to advanced levels.
Jeff does knowledge check quizzes, exams, and provides workbooks where you can go through examples. The course leader is dynamic and enjoys what he does.
